Mumbai, Sept 22: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) and Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) are among the top five Asian companies operating in the energy sector to feature in the corporate governance poll of "Asiamoney" magazine. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd has been ranked third in the poll and is followed by Reliance Industries at the fourth position, RIL said in a release.
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd is ranked eighth while Castrol India features on the tenth position.
Chinese companies Petrochina and CNOOC have bagged the first and second positions.
India leads the poll with four companies followed by three from China, two from Thailand and one from Malaysia, it added. Bureau Report
