Lucknow, Nov 01: The complete DNA report on the Madhumita Shukla murder case will be handed over to the Sessions Court in Lucknow today.
The CBI says the report could be the clinching evidence linking Uttar Pradesh MLA Amarmani Tripathi—the main accused in the case—and the poetess.

Madhumita was pregnant at the time she was killed and reports indicated that Amarmani was the father of the child. The former minister was arrested in September after his DNA samples matched that of the poetesses' foetus.

He was remanded to judicial custody till November 3. The former minister's bail plea will be taken up by the court after a decision on the DNA report.

Madhumita was shot dead at her residence in Lucknow on May 9. Amarmani's wife Madhumani has also been indicted in the case. Bureau Report
