New Delhi: Bollywood evergreen diva Madhuri Dixit has been roped in as the brand ambassador of 'Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign' which will be launched on January 22 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Haryana.

Government's ambitious 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme' aims to improve the child sex ratio (CSR).


The Bollywood beauty took to Twitter to announce the news and her happiness to be the brand ambassador of the campaign.



The issue of decline in CSR is complex and the scheme will address the issue within the broad framework of survival, protection and education of girl children.


The BBBP Scheme will be implemented in 100 selected districts, which will cover all states and UTs and is a joint initiative of Women and Child Development, Human Resource Development and Health Ministries.
