Lucknow, Aug 31: BJP has asked opposition parties including Congress to make clear their stand on Ayodhya issue in the wake of the Archaeological Survey of India (Asi)'s excavation report on finding the remnants of a 10th century temple from the disputed site in Ayodhya, Union Agriculture Minister, Rajnath Singh said here today. ASI has found remnants of a 10th century temple at the disputed site, thus proving beyond doubt that the Babri mosque was built after demolishing a Hindu temple', Singh claimed while addressing a meeting of the party's ‘kisan morcha’.

The Opposition should now make clear their stand as to whether or not a temple should be built at the Ram Janmabhoomi site, he said.

Stating that the BJP had never made ram temple an election issue, he said that the Opposition parties had always tried to take advantage from this.

BJP wants a grand temple at the site where Lord Rama was born and it is sticking to its stand, the Union Minister said.
On the changed political scenario in Uttar Pradesh, Singh said after the BJP-BSP coalition fell, the Governor Vishnu Kant Shastri had no other option but to call Samajwadi Party to form government.

He said that the BJP will play the role of an active Opposition. And would not oppose the government for the sake of opposition only.
