Raipur, June 01: Outgoing Chattisgarh governor Dinesh Nandan Sahaya was today given a warm send off by the state government and the citizens here on being transferred as governor of Tripura. Sahaya, who served the state for 31 months, his wife Manju and other family members, left for Agartala via Kolkata in a state plane, official sources said.
He was seen off by Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, his wife Renu, chief secretary S K Mishra among others. Jogi also handed over a CD, prepared by the state public relation department, to the governor about his contribution to the state during his tenure as the first governor.
The governor was also given guard of honour both at the Raj Bhawan and at the airport by Chhattisgarh special armed forces.
Sahaya will take oath as Tripura governor tomorrow at Agartala. Lt Gen K M Seth, who has swapped position with Sahaya, is arriving here this evening to take oath tomorrow as the second governor of Chhattisgarh.
