Japan to provide $ 2.34 mn for Nepal water project
Kathmandu, Sept 12: Japan will provide a grant of 2.34 million dollars to Nepal for improving drinking water supply facilities in Kathmandu valley.
Kathmandu, Sept 12: Japan will provide a grant of 2.34 million dollars to Nepal for improving drinking water supply facilities in Kathmandu valley.
Nepalese finance secretary Bhanu Prasad Acharya and Japanese ambassador to Nepal Zenji Kaminaga signed an agreement to this effect, a Japanese embassy press release said.
The grant assistance will be utilized for the construction of a distribution reservoir, water transmission pipeline and other related facilities, and services necessary for the improvement of water supply services in central Lalitpur under the Shainbu service area.
The grant will also cover the third phase of the project of improvement of Kathmandu water supply facilities.
