UK, Oct 16: Scottish Eagles have signed defenceman Scott Campbell to ease their injury crisis. The Glasgow-born 30-year-old made his debut in the 5-3 win way to Fife Flyers on Tuesday in the Caledonian Cup less than 24 hours after stepping off the plane from Toronto.

Campbell is no stranger to Britain, having already played for Superleague sides Sheffield Steelers, Bracknell Bees, London Knights and Manchester Storm, as well as Guildford Flames in the British National League.
Coach Paul Heavey said: "Dan Ratushny was concussed in the 3-1 win in Manchester last Wednesday, the second concussion he's suffered this season, so he's out for a couple of weeks.

"It's a bit like the situation Jason Rushton is in. They've both been brought in on two-week contracts.

"But, if they can show they can add something to the team, I'd look to keep them. But someone else would have to make way.
"Scott is an experienced stay-at-home defenceman with a good knowledge of the British game.
"He jumped at the chance of joining the Eagles and we'll just have to see how he gets on."
