LeT area commander killed in Poonch
Jammu, Nov 13: Security forces gunned down an area commander of Pakistan based Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) outfit in Shindra area of Poonch district while three jawans were injured when militants triggered an improvised explosive device (IED) in Mahore area of Udhampur district since last evening, official sources said here today.

Security forces during an ambush last night killed a top LeT militant, identified as Abu Harari at Shindra in Poonch district, the sources said adding security forces recovered one AK-47 rifle with its five magazines and 30 rounds and some incriminating documents from the slain militant.
Harari was area commander of LeT outfit, they said and pointed out that a search was on to track down other associates of his.
In another incident, three jawans were injured when militants triggered an IED near Deriback post in Mahore area last evening.
A delayed report from Udhampur district said that militants fired rockets and grenades on post of special police officers (SPOs) at Gali-Ind on intervening night of November 11 and 12.
The SPOs in the post also retaliated and the exchange of fire between the two sides continued for several hours, the sources said adding there was no loss of life but the accommodation of the post was damaged in the militant attack. Bureau Report
