London, June 08: India has come in for full-throated praise from Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai who said New Delhi has helped Kabul at the most critical time. "India is one country that has been prompt with its help and I am happy with the assistance India is giving us," Karzai told reporters in an informal chat in oxford yesterday.
He said that during his visit to Delhi, he had discussed the issue of terrorism with the Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Addressing oxford dons and students at St Antony's College, Karzai flayed at Osama bin Laden describing him as a non-Muslim.

"Osama is not a Muslim or a human being. He thinks he has done a great thing by destroying two buildings in New York. I would like to confront him one day and ask him how it helped Islam. Didn't more Muslims die than the kafirs he was fighting against," the Afghan leader asked.

In an indirect attack on Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence agency (ISI), Karzai said, "The neighbours of Afghanistan, their intelligence agencies found Osama beneficial to the strategic interest of their country."
He also denounced terrorists saying they had no ideals or beliefs. "They are gangs of criminals used by certain governments for their own purpose," he said.
