Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) has been arrested by Delhi Police.
Noman Badar alias Falahi (30), who hails from Haldwani area of Uttaranchal, was arrested by a team of Special Cell, police sources told a news agency. Falahi, a prominent cadre in the Simi, had been evading police since November 2001 when the organisation was banned and its top leaders arrested, they said.
He even had signing authority to operate Simi Bank accounts, they said.
