`Deploying women police officers to STF not safe`: Deccan Herald

Deposing before the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) panel comprising Justice A J Sadashiva and former CBI Director C V Narasimhan, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Bangalore, N Nagaraj, who had earlier worked with the STF in the nab-Veerappan operation, said the M M Hills area had been “terrorised by the brigand, wherein even the male police personnel were hesitating to work. In such a situation, it is not safe to deploy women police officers.”
Mr Nagaraj said he was in charge of the operational wing of the STF for nearly four years from 1993 to 1997. He was the inspector of the Magadi Road police station, Bangalore, before his deputation to the STF.
