Bhopal, Apr 15: Noted actor and chairman of ‘Sadbhavna’ cell of All India Congress Committee (AICC), Sunil Dutt today criticised the so-called political parties with Hindutva leanings for claiming that only those belonging to them are Hindus, while those in other parties are not Hindus.
Talking to reporters, Dutt who was here to take part in
the ‘Qaumi Ekta Sammelan’, without naming the BJP, said "the
philosophy of a party that only those belonging to it are
hindus is not a healthy sign for the country's harmony".
Referring to the recent communal riots in Gujarat and the money spent on providing relief and rehabilitation, Dutt said if such incidents don't take place then this money can be used for development.
Earlier, the Congress leader joined the human chain to strengthen the unity and harmony in the state on the occasion of Mahaveer Jayanti, as part of the ‘Qaumi Ekta Week’ organised by the ‘Qaumi Ekta Samiti’.
