Jhalawar, Dec 01: BJP's chief ministerial candidate for Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje was among the early voters in the state today exercising her franchise at the Topkhana school polling booth in Jhalarpatan constituency. Accompanied by State BJP General Secretary S N Gupta, Mumbai legislator Atul Shah and Jhalawar District Party President Srikrishna Patidar, raje cast her vote at 8.25 am. "We are winning the assembly elections hands down. The people of Rajasthan want a change," she said in a statement. Raje is pitted against Congress MP and late Rajesh Pilot's wife Rama Pilot in the constituency.
Vasundhara had earlier planned to contest from both Jhalarpatan and Pidawa but later decided to accept congress challenge and contest from Jhalarpatan alone after the party nominated Rama Pilot. Raje had yesterday said Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot should be prepared to play the role of a responsible opposition leader.
