New Delhi, Apr 04: Indian Oil group refineries have achieved a record crude oil throughout of 43.39 million tonnes during 2002-03. While the seven IOC refineries together registered the highest ever crude throughput of 35.1 million tonnes in 2002-03 surpassing the previous best of 33.8 million tonnes achieved in 2001-02, its subsidiary refineries - Bongaigaon Refineries and Petrochemicals Ltd and Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd - together processed 8.29 million tonnes, a company statement said here.
The crude and product pipelines network of IOC recorded a combined throughput of 40.38 million tonnes during the year. The crude oil pipelines achieved the highest ever throughput of 24 million tonnes compared to 23.07 million tonnes attained last year.
Company's pipelines network was further expanded with the addition of 507 kms of new pipelines - extension of Barauni- -Kanpur pipelines to Lucknow, Mathura-Tundla pipeline and Koyali-Navagaon pipeline during the year.
The combined length of IOC's pipelines' network spread across the country increased to 7030 kms from 6523 kms. Bureau Report
