New Delhi, Nov 14: In a bid to get sanctions lifted on technology transfer of more hi-tech weapons systems from the United States, senior officials from Pentagon and Indian Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) have extended their deliberations here by a day. Cooperation in peaceful use of nuclear energy, exchanges of data on missiles particularly the US experiments with anti-missile system and new delhi request for lifting of restrictions on export of other hi-tech weapons dominated the agenda so far, highly placed officials said.

The third meeting of the Indo-US joint technical committee, the second to be held on Indian soil, was scheduled to end yesterday, but was extended till Saturday, officials said. Besides, looking into India's request for easing of sanctions, the meetings have now also started a broad dialogue on defence research, they said.
