Allahabad, May 18: All India Confederation of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Organisation Udit Raj today slammed Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati for spreading casteism in the society by deriding her Dalit political opponents by identifying their castes.
Mayawati has become a bigger 'manuvadi' threat than the political leaders belonging to upper castes whom she had been criticising over the years, he told reporters here.
Accusing Mayawati of deviating from the ideology of the Bahujan Samaj Party, Raj said the party was formed in 1980s with an aim to unite the Dalit society, but the chief minister has compromised the goal for sake of power by deriding other Dalit leaders by naming their castes.
