Evian (France), June 01: Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today arrived here for participating in an informal G-8 summit that will discuss issues relating to less developed and developing economies. In a special gesture, French President Jacques Chirac received the Prime Minister near the car in which he arrived to the conference venue, instead of receiving him at the place where he welcomed other dignitaries. From St Petersburg, Russia, the Prime Minister arrived in Geneva international airport by an Air India special aircraft and hopped to Evian on the Franco-Swiss border by a helicopter. Immediately the leaders began discussions over a working lunch, which will extend till the evening when it will conclude with high-tea. Bureau Report
