The USD one-billion IFA hotels and resorts is mulling
setting up ayurvedic spas at its resorts the world over,
James Wilson, president & chief operating officer of the
company said, adding the idea was suggested to him during his
recent visit to Dubai where IFA is the largest investor in the
multi-million dollar palm island project.
"I have been recently presented an ayurvedic spa concept from India. If it can be seen to be providing what the market requires and makes a return then we will certainly look at it," Wilson told.
Wilson said his company had quite a few apartments at the UAE Trade Fair held in Mumbai in October.
"We sold quite a few apartments in the Mumbai Trade Fair mainly to Indians living outside of India. A large market exists in India but is restricted by exchange controls," he said.
The IFA group has been aggressively marketing its USD 500 million luxury residential and resort properties on the exclusive Palm-Jumeirah, Dubai. The properties cost anything upward Rs one crore.
It was the first time the promoters have tried to sound out the Indian market by participating at the UAE in India trade exhibition. A chief attraction of the residence is that the buyers get residence visas for life for himself and his family in tax free Dubai. Bureau Report
