ASI to submit excavation report by Aug 22
Lucknow, July 03: The special bench of the Allahabad High Court today granted five week extension to the Archaeological Survey of India to complete excavation at the disputed site in Ayodhya and directed it to submit its final report by August 22.
Lucknow, July 03: The special bench of the Allahabad High Court today granted five week extension to the Archaeological Survey of India to complete excavation at the disputed site in Ayodhya and directed it to submit its final report by August 22.
The full bench comprising Justice Sudhir Narain, Justice Bhanwar Singh and Justice S R Alam, granted five more weeks to the asi to complete excavation and two weeks to compile its report.
It directed the ASI to submit its final report on or before August 22.
The court order came on an ASI plea seeking time till December to complete excavation at the site, being carried out as per the high court order to ascertain whether a temple existed at the place where the demolished Babri Masjid stood.
Meanwhile, yesterday, the High Court had pulled up ASI for his stardy progress in the excavation at Ayodhya.
