Mumbai, June 28: One person was injured and ten others were feared trapped when a portion of a six-storeyed building collapsed at grant road in south Mumbai this afternoon. One person, trapped under debris was rescued and shifted to nearby Harkishandas Hospital. He was reported to be out of danger, police said.

They expressed fear that nearly 8-10 persons might have been trapped under the rubble. The "Church Mansion" building, portion of which collapsed as the city experienced heavy rainfall since last night, was not occupied after its construction for over two decades, police said. The top floor of the building caved in at around 3.05 pm, fire brigade sources said.

The fire brigade has despatched ten vehicles along with an ambulance and rescue and relief operation was in full swing, they added. Bureau Report
