Ajmer, June 21: Raking up the issue of Congress president Sonia Gandhi's foreign origin, Union Labour Minister Sahib Singh Varma has said the country "would never tolerate a foreigner as its prime minister”. "The Congress had struggled to throw out foreign rulers during freedom movement but now wants to impose a foreigner as prime minister," Verma said at a public meeting during BJP's 'Parivartan Yatra' here last night.
Addressing the meeting, state BJP chief Vasundhara Raje said if BJP came to power in Rajasthan after next assembly polls, it would restore all benefits, including bonus and leave encashment facility to the state government employees.
Union Minister of State for Social Justice Kailash Meghwal charged that the Ashok Gehlot government had failed on all fronts and the people can hope relief only by ousting it in the coming polls.
