Tikamgarh, June 03: Stating that his entry into Congress was imminent, suspended BJP MLA Swami Prasad Lodhi today said the Congress wanted unity of all sections of people.
If there had been no communal violence before assembly elections in Gujarat, Congress would have formed government in the state, Lodhi said here.
Alleging rift in BJP, Swami said senior leaders like Kailash Joshi, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Babulal Gaur, Dr G S Shejwar, Sumitra Mahajan and Kailash Vijaywargiya were against Uma Bharti, the party campaign in-charge and his sister.
The rebel MLA claimed his sister was also against these leaders.
Lodhi said he had met Bharti in Bhopal on May one, where she asked him to refrain from giving any statements against BJP or her.
