Nagercoil(TN), June 30: Tamil Nadu and Kerala governments should jointly take action to ensure diversion of water from west flowing rivers of Kerala to Tamil Nadu, BJP's state vice-president C Velayuthan, said today. He told reporters here that during the rainy season, surplus water in Kerala rivers was being "wasted" as it went into the sea.
If the water was diverted, the southern districts of the state would benefit and the water crisis would be solved, he said asking the state government to hold talks with Kerala for obtaining the excess water.
