Pakistan, US, Afghanistan to boost anti terrorism cooperation

The commission, set up in April to examine alleged Taliban infiltrations and demarcation disputes along the porous 2,450 kilometer border, held its fourth meeting in the Pakistani garrison city of Rawalpindi near here.
"All parties agreed that further cooperation will be made against terrorist activities related to the border region," the statement said.
"The commission considered the establishment of a sub-committee to further coordinate counter-terrorism activities in the border areas, including military operations," it said.

It said the commission was briefed on plans for the training and deployment of afghan border police and setting up of a hotline between Pakistan's director general of military operations and the Afghanistan's national security advisor.
The next meeting of the commission will be in Kabul on November 15.
