Shailene Woodley wins big at 2015 MTV Movie Awards
Actress Shailene Woodley was the most popular celebrity at the 24th annual MTV Movie Awards, taking home multiple prizes, including a special award as MTV Trailblazer.
Los Angeles: Actress Shailene Woodley was the most popular celebrity at the 24th annual MTV Movie Awards, taking home multiple prizes, including a special award as MTV Trailblazer.
The 23-year-old "Divergent" star was also honoured for Best Female Performance and Best Kiss (with Ansel Elgort) for her role in "The Fault in Our Stars", which was named Movie of the Year.
"I feel like this award belongs to John Green," she said, referring the author of the novel which the movie is based on.
"He gave this world a beautiful masterpiece, a gift in 'The Fault in Our Stars'. It changed my life when I read it and being a part of this film dramatically influenced who I am today."
Woodley wasn't the only multiple winner - Zac Efron took home the Best Shirtless Performance and shared the Best Duo prize with his "Neighbors" co-star Dave Franco, and "The Maze Runner" star Dylan O'Brien was a triple winner, picking up Best Hero, Breakthrough Performance and Best Fight honours.
Other big winners included Bradley Cooper (Best Male Performance), Meryl Streep (Best Villain), Robert Downey, Jr. (Generation Award), Channing Tatum (Best Comedic Performance), and Kevin Hart (Comedic Genius Award).
Hosted by comedienne Amy Schumer, the 2015 MTV Movie Awards took place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles and featured live performances from Fall Out Boy, Fetty Wap, Charli XCX and Ty Dolla Sign.
