Indian, Nepalese officials discuss steps to promote tourism
Kathmandu, June 24: Indian and Nepalese officials today discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, including promotion of tourism and culture between the two countries, official sources said here.

Indian ambassador to Nepal Shyam Saran called on Nepalese Minister for Tourism, Culture and Civil Aviation Sarvendranath Shukla at his office where the two sides also discussed ways to increase air seat capacity by their respective airlines in order to promote tourism in the area.
During the meeting, Saran also expressed India's willingness to build a 'dharmashala' at Pashupatinath Temple area, modernising the Royal Nepal Academy and constructing an auditorium in the Terai region of Nepal.
He also said that the museum constructed at Lumbini area under Indian assistance and modernization of railway services would help to increase inflow of Indian tourists to Nepal.
