Dialogue process can `definitely` help in Indo-Pak ties: Aziz
New Delhi, Nov 03: Pakistani High Commissioner Aziz Ahmed Khan today met Lok Sabha Speaker Manohar Joshi and said a dialogue process should also be initiated along with confidence-building measures as this could `definitely` contribute to improvement of ties between the two countries.

Aziz, who called on Joshi at Parliament house here,
appreciated the peace initiatives of Prime Minister Atal
Bihari Vajpayee and said the recent steps taken by the two
countries would help usher in peace in the region.
Besides resuming train and air services between the two countries, a dialogue process may also be initiated, which would definitely help in improving bilateral relations, khan said, according to an official release issued by the Speaker's office. Khan also stressed on the need for people-to-people contacts.
During the meeting, Joshi said both countries want peace and in this regard Prime Minister Vajpayee had taken peace initiatives thrice during this year alone.
The Pakistani High Commissioner also briefed the Lok Speaker about the reservation of seats for women in the National Assembly as well as in local bodies in Pakistan, the release said.
