New Delhi, Aug 24: Star tennis player Leander Paes is totally out of danger after the cyst found in his brain was diagnosed as a parasitic infection.
Doctors said there is no chance of malignancy and the infection can be treated with medicine, according to information reaching his public relation agent.
Paes shall soon return to robust health and peak fitness, he said.
Paes reportedly suffered severe headaches during his first round doubles match last week in Cincinnati, Ohio, and later checked himself into an emergency room near his Orlando base three days later.
He was moved to MD Anderson Cancer Centre after a scan revealed lesion in his brain's left occipital region.

Leander Paes was to team up with former partner Mahesh Bhupathi at the $355,000 ATP tour event in Long Island, New York, this week but the duo withdrew due to Leander's illness.

Leander's father Dr Vece Paes, who is by the side of his ailing son, told reporters from Orlando "we are still waiting for two or three blood reports. We will get it by tomorrow morning. We can give you a definite answer only after that."

However, he said, even if it was only a harmless cyst Leander would still need a long rest to recuperate.
