Brussels, June 13: The European Commission said on Friday that it was launching a fresh case against the United States at the World Trade Organization (WTO), adding to disputes over GM foods, steel and export credits for US exporters. The Commission said in a statement it had asked for consultations with Washington, the first stage of possible legal action at the WTO, over the way the United States calculates anti-dumping duties.
The EU executive said that the US practice, called zeroing, resulted in higher anti-dumping penalties for EU exporters. Bureau Report
