Linkin Park singer in Los Angeles-area hospital
Los Angeles, June 05: Chester Bennington, singer for Grammy-winning rap rockers Linkin Park, was admitted to a Los Angeles-area hospital after suffering `an attack of severe back and abdominal pains,` a band representative said on Wednesday.

According to a statement on the band's Web site (www.linkinpark.com), Bennington was admitted to the hospital last Friday for the pains and remains there as doctors try to determine the cause.
"All touring and video shoot plans in Europe have been put on hold this month as we make sure Chester fully recovers," the band's representative said in the statement. "We wish him the best and will keep everyone posted as to his condition."
