Bhopal, Nov 22: Chief Electoral Officer of Madhya Pradesh D S Mathur today directed transfer of two senior officials in Rewa district for alleged violation of model code of conduct. The state election office here said chief executive officer of Rewa Janpad Panchayat Ramayan Prasad Gautam and District Education Officer Harsh Shukla have been transferred to Mandsaur and Panna respectively.
Following complaints against these officials, Mathur had ordered an inquiry and their transfer was recommended on the basis of the probe report to ensure impartial, free and fair polls.
