Gaya, Dec 27: Communist Party of India (CPI) today agreed with Chief Election Commisioner J M Lyngdoh's statement about politicians saying it was "by and large true". "We all have to strive for making the politicians to work for the development of the country. How long can we allow the criminals to change the course of Indian polity by the use of brute force," senior CPI leader Atul Kumar Anjan said here. Charging the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh with surrendering his ‘self-respect’, the CPI leader said it had become a ‘political necessity’ for him to return to the BJP fold.
Referring to former Director General of Police D P Ojha showing interest in joining politics, Anjan said "Ojha was an active member of the AISF since his students' day and the party might consider giving him ticket to contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. Bureau Report
