Patna, Aug 08: Refusing to give a breather to fugitive RJD MP Moahammed Shahabuddin, Bihar Director General of Police D P Ojha today ordered arrest of the MP for his alleged involvement in the kidnapping and suspected murder of another CPI-Ml worker Chote Lal Gupta in Siwan district four years ago. The DGP gave the order after reviewing the case of abduction of Gupta from near a railway crossing under Hussainganj police station of Siwan district on February five, 1999, IGP (Headquarters) Meelmani told a news agency here. The DGP reviewed the case with Tirhut Zone Inspector General of Police Yashwant Mehrotra, range DIG M A Kazmi, Siwan Superintendent of Police Jaglal Chaudhary and investigating officer of the case and found enough evidence against Shahabuddin and his two associates in the kidnapping and suspected murder of Gupta, Neelmani said.

Shahabuddin and two others are named accused in the case lodged with Hussainganj police station under Section 364 IPC (kidnapping a person with intention to murder).


Neelmani said the DGP ordered the Siwan police to move the court to procure the arrest warrant against Shahabuddin and his associates in the instant case.
