New Delhi, June 06: Declining to comment on HRD minister Murli Manohar Joshi`s statement that the party had not taken any decision to project Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee as `Vikas Purush` (man of development), BJP today categorically stated that the leadership controversy is a `closed chapter.`
New Delhi, June 06: Declining to comment on HRD minister Murli Manohar Joshi's statement that the party had not taken any decision to project Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee as 'Vikas Purush' (man of development), BJP today categorically stated that the leadership controversy is a "closed chapter."
"The chapter is closed. Party has clarified its stand on the issue in very clear and categorical terms. There is no scope for any more comments or clarification on this issue," party general secretary and spokesman Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said.
BJP president M Venkaiah Naidu had categorically stated yesterday that there was no confusion at any level within the party on the leadership issue and Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee remained the party's "unquestioned leader."
