Congress post-poll committee to analyse debacle
New Delhi, Dec 15: The first meeting of the high-level committee constituted to go into the electoral debacle of Congress in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chattisgarh will be held here today.
New Delhi, Dec 15: The first meeting of the high-level committee constituted to go into the electoral debacle of Congress in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chattisgarh will be held here today.
The five-member committee is headed by senior leader Pranab Mukherjee. Other committee members are Mani Shankar Aiyar, B K Handique, Priya Ranjan Das Munshi and Prithviraj Chavan.
The committee, constituted by party president Sonia Gandhi, has been asked to give its report within ten days.
A meeting of the Congress Working Committee is also likely to be held soon after Mukherjee committee submits its report.
Three members of the Mukherjee committee - Aiyar, Chavan and Das Munshi - were also on the A K Antony committe, set up to go into the rout of the Congress in the last Lok Sabha elections.
