Sirsa (Haryana), July 17: Intensifying their search of properties owned by former Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and his family members, Punjab Vigilance Bureau officials today raided his farmhouse at Balasar near here. Haryana police sources said the sleuths accompanied by engineers of public works department (building and roads) and revenue officers raided the sprawling farmhouse.

VB's chief director A P Pandey told media in Chandigarh that the search team led by superintendent of police Amarjit Singh was expected to complete its job by Saturday. The area is spread over about 350 acres with a farmhouse in it which would be assessed, he said. Haryana police sources said vigilance officials were accompanied by Punjab police personnel who received logistic support from Haryana Police.

About 200 Akali Dal workers raised slogans as the vigilance team entered the farm house.
