Srinagar, Sept 18: Government has ordered closure of colleges in all the districts of Jammu and Kashmir which are going to elections in the remaining three phases, official sources said. Colleges in Srinagar, Budgam, Jammu, Anantnag, Pulwama, Kathua, Udhampur and Doda would remain closed as their staff has been deputed on poll duty during the remaining three phases of elections in the state, the sources said.
Colleges in Jammu, Srinagar and Budgam districts would remain closed from today till Sept 25, while the institutions in Anantnag, Pulwama, Udhampur and Kathua districts would remain closed from Sept 24 to October 2, the sources said.
In the militancy-infested Doda district, which is going to polls on October 9 in the last phase of elections, colleges would remain close from October 1-9, they added. Bureau Report
