Islamabad, Nov 11: Pakistan Cricket Board chief Tauqir Zia has stepped into the row between chief cricket selector Aamir Sohail and coach Javed Miandad and called for a meeting between the two former cricketers to sort out the issue amicably. Zia, currently abroad, will be returning on Monday and is expected to call the truce meeting immediately afterwards.
Pakistan cricket was thrown into turmoil this week after Sohail announced probables for the five-match one-day series against New Zealand reportedly without consulting either Miandad or captain Inzamam-ul Haq.
Miandad and Sohail clashed in the open making harsh comments against each other in the media.
Zia reportedly spoke to Sohail on Sunday and heard out his arguments before telling him to accommodate former skipper Moin Khan in the probables for the time being in the camp and that he would sort out the matter on his return, 'The News' reported today. Bureau Report
