Lahore, Mar 07: Tickets for the India-Pakistan first one-dayer at the National Stadium in Karachi is on sale from, the Pakistan Cricket Board has announced. Price of two categories of tickets had been slashed to accommodate low-income cricket fans, a PCB sources said.
''The revised price of a general enclosure ticket is Rs 100 from the earlier announced Rs 150. Similarly, the rate of Rs 500 ticket had been slashed by half. It will now be available at Rs 250 each,'' he concluded.
The rate list of tickets is -- Rs 1,500, Rs 1,200, Rs 800, Rs 250, Rs 100. Entry for special children will be free at a specific enclosure. Meanwhile, there has been reports of black marketing of tickets for the one-dayers. Sindh adviser on information and archives Salahuddin Haider has alleged black marketing of tickets.
In a statement released yesterday, he expressed deep regrets that private contractor assigned for online sale of tickets has failed to come up to the mark resulting in complaints of irregularities in distributions of tickets which needed to be immediately redressed.
Haider alleged that demands for VIP tickets were met through underhand deals and when he spoke to PCB chief executive Ramiz Raja (adviser) was told that a portion of the general enclosure has been earmarked with cushioned seats for higher slab tickets.
