Patna, Aug 12: The kidnappers released Siddhant at Raza Bazar under Shastri Nagar Police Station area here this evening from where his family members took him home, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Amit Kumar told the reporters. On getting information, the police reached the boy's house, Kumar said adding that the boy was in good health.

He said that the police apprehended that some ransom amount had been paid by the victim's family. We will inquire into the matter, the SP said.

Siddhant, a standard two student of a private school, was abducted by unidentified miscreants from Jagdeo Path area here on July 24 while he was waiting for his school bus. Three motorcycle-borne criminals pushed his grandfather K P Singh to ground and lifted Siddhant and his brother Shantanu. But after his grandfather raised alarm, they left behind Shantanu and took Siddhant with them.
