Replying to a submission on the matter, Antony said the government would continue its raids in the state. The state local administration minister, Cherkalam Abdulla, informed the house that direction had been given to local bodies to take action against those who dumped garbages in water bodies and roadsides. Replying to a calling attention in this regard the minister said night special squads have been set up in municipalities and corporations to check this menace. The squad imposed on the spot fine on persons who dump garbages on roads as per the municipal act, he said.
