Garry Kasparov to play Israeli computer in January
Moscow, Dec 21: Top-ranked Garry Kasparov will play a chess match against world champion computer ``deep junior`` in New York in January, about five years after his stunning loss to IBM`s Deep Blue machine, the World Chess Federation announced.

Two preliminary games will take place in Jerusalem from
January 7-9 but the results won't be official, the federation,
known as fide, said in a statement yesterday.
The official part of the match will start Jan 22 in New York. Games will be played on various dates through February 2, with the closing ceremony scheduled for February 3, fide said. Deep junior, an Israeli program, recently won the world computer championship in the Netherlands. Bureau Report
