Pune, Nov 28: The district civil court, hearing cricketer Abhijit Kale`s appeal against the suspension imposed on him by the Indian cricket board, today restrained the BCCI from barring him from playing first class matches without holding an inquiry.
The court`s verdict makes the Maharashtra batsman eligible to play first-class cricket again.

Kale was suspended from the game by an order of board president Jagmohan Dalmiya after he received written complaints from two national selectors -- Kiran More and Pranob Roy -- that the player had offered them Rs 10 lakh each for a place in the Australia-bound Indian team.

Dalmiya, besides suspending kale, announced an inquiry into the matter by D V Subba Rao, chairman of the Bar Council of India, on November 21.
The board has asked Rao to submit his report within 15 days to the disciplinary committee which will decide on the matter.

Rao has asked the player and the two national selectors to present their case before him at Visakhapatnam tomorrow.
