Trade deficit shoots up 114.2 per cent in October
New Delhi, Dec 02: Trade deficit shot up by 114.2 per cent in October, this year at USD 2,021.04 million as against USD 943.91 million in October, 2002.

In April-October, 2003-04, trade deficit increased by
107.9 per cent to USD 9.269 billion as against USD 4.457
billion in the corresponding period last year, as per
the official data released here today.
In rupee terms, trade deficit in October, 2003 stood at Rs 9,172.93 crore as against Rs 4,561.83 crore in October 2002-03.
Trade deficit stood at Rs 42,968.70 crore in April-October 2003-04 as against Rs 21,704.27 crore in April-October, 2002-03.
