New Delhi, Feb 18: At least five persons were injured and three shops gutted in a fire which broke out in the busy Chandni Chowk market in North Delhi early today. Ten fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire which started around 0635 hours and was finally brought under control after two hours, fire brigade sources told a news agency. The blaze broke out in one of the shops in front of Gauri Shankar Temple and soon spread to adjoining shops trapping five persons inside who were later rescued by the firemen. The injured persons have been admitted to LNJP Hospital, they said.

The cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained, they said. Bureau Report
