In a bid to boost the morale of the Indian squad who would be taking on the strong UAE in the group 8 opener of the pre-world cup qualifying rounds in Banglore on Sunday, the All India Football Federation on Saturday announced cash awards to players.

The federation general secretary, Alberto Colaco said In Banglore, if the team defeats UAE, each player would be given Rs 15,000 apart from Rs 25,000 fee.

He said if the team emerges victorious over Yemen and Brueni, which they play here on April 15 and may 20 respectively, each player would get Rs an additional 10,000.
Twentyone players have been named for the current home-away series.
Meanwhile, Indian coach, Sukvinder Singh said, any changes in the team would be decided later in consultation with the federation. Bureau Report
