New York, Nov 25: ICICI Onesource, one of India's largest third-party providers of business process outsourcing (BPO) services, has added a number of prominent US and UK companies to its portfolio of clients during the second half of 2003 and expects to expand capacity at its facilities by forty percent by march 2004, the company has said. This will bring ICICI Onesource's total number of workstations to 3,000 and increase its staff from around 4,100 now to over 5,000.
Since July 2003, ICICI Onesource said as part of its continued expansion, it will open its fifth contact center operation during the first quarter of 2004. The company currently has three facilities in Bangalore, and with the new center it will have two in Mumbai.
"There is good reason for our steep growth curve - we are committed to becoming the dominant third-party provider of offshore outsourcing services to top-tier clients in a number of key target sectors," said Raja Gopalakrishnan, regional director, North America, of the company.
"These are exciting times for ICICI Onesource. We are expanding on all fronts, from our recent acquisition of Firstring, one of India's pioneering BPO companies, to new service offerings in new market segments. We're also exploring new geographies, both inside and outside of India, where we can take advantage of opportunities to establish additional service facilities," he said.
