Los Angeles: Brazilian beauty Gisele Bundchen has been named the world's highest-paid model for the ninth consecutive year by Forbes magazine.

The runway veteran, 35, raked USD 44 million this year, despite announcing her retirement from the runway in March.


In exchange for the runway, Bundchen continues to book major fashion campaigns with iconic brands like Chanel, Stuart Weitzman and Louis Vuitton in addition to her own projects, such as a line of intimates.


The former Victoria's Secret model has earned over USD 430 million since the start of her decades-spanning career.


Model-turned-actress Cara Delevingne is a distant second on the new list with USD 9 million. Victoria's Secret star Adriana Lima ties with Delevingne, while her fellow lingerie angel Doutzen Kroes comes in fourth with a USD 7.5 million fortune.


Russian model Natalia Vodianova rounds out the top five with USD 7 million. Kendall Jenner is among the newcomers on the Forbes list, with an estimated USD 4 million fortune. Kim Kardashian's 19-year-old sister is also the youngest person on the 2015 countdown.
