Shimla, June 11: Congress today bagged the Bharmour assembly seat in Himachal Pradesh when its candidate Thakur Singh defeated his nearest BJP rival Tulsi Ram by a margin of 8,000 votes. Thakur Singh polled 21,869 votes against Tulsi Ram's 12,177. The counting of ballots in two other constituencies of Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur, which went to the polls along with Bharmour on June eight, is in progress.

The polling in the three constituencies could not be held because of snowfall in march when the rest of the state went to the polls. Bureau Report
