London, Aug 04: Two R&B divas have stormed straight to the top the UK singles charts, continuing urban music's domination of the British summer.
Only a week after Beyonce's hold on the top spot was ended, Blu Cantrell shot straight to number one with her new single "Breathe."
The catchy crossover track, featuring Jamaican-born dancehall legend Sean Paul, unseated UK garage act Daniel Bedingfield in its debut week, the Official UK Charts Company said on Sunday.
Bedingfield's "Never Gonna Leave Your Side" fell to number four.
Another urban newcomer, rapper-turned-songstress Lumidee, also stormed the charts in her debut week.
The Latino New Yorker reached number two with "Never Leave You," knocking last week's number two, Beyonce's "Crazy in Love," down three places to number five.
Breaking urban music's stranglehold on the top of the charts was Robbie Williams, who this weekend has performed to over 370,000 fans at three sold-out gigs at Knebworth Park, north of London.
His "Something Beautiful" saw debut success this week, reaching number three.
Other notable newcomers were dance act Kosheen with "All in my Head" at number seven, Craig David with "Spanish" at number eight and Lisa Maffia with "In Love" at number 13.
